"Friends of On Our Way" was established to assist the schools and day care centers of the Far Rockaway/5 Towns communities. In recent years, with budget cuts, and shifting criteria for approval for special services, many non sectarian and religious schools have enrolled children who indeed have delays that require professional attention. Friends of On Our Way recognizes that any delay, slight or severe, can impair a child's learning career. Through fundraising, Friends of On Our Way will allocate monies to any school that does not have funded professionals to appropriately address the needs of their children.
